SPIKE

Morton 6 Forfar 1

played 29

won 28

lost 1

Morton scored 15 goals in February.

If a win had been 3 points in those days, then promotion would have been won even earlier.

19th place in Scottish football. Only one place behind where we are just now.

On an upward trajectory though - which is entirely different from where we are just now.

Not quite Toad. The following season I think we finished a very respectable 10th in Division 1, followed by a relegation the season after.

As bad as our current position appears at present, we're now established as a top 20 side. The 'good old days' were not quite as good as they are made out to have been.

The good old days were every bit as good as they are made out to have been for those who actually experienced the Hal Stewart revolution, the Danish invasion, and the heady days of the late seventies.
