when it was 1st reported that the Easdales had invested in this land some suggested it may be a good location for a new stadium Lego style or otherwise.
looks like they have other ideas. Like them or loathe them they are successful and doing well for themselves as well as creating jobs and investment in the local area

No doubt the Council will scupper their plans for this. There was always talk of them building a new ground for Morton there but they're in the business of making money, but being charitable.

The Marmite brothers grim! You don't make a lot of money out of a provincial football club. They clearly have a soft spot for the 'Ton and may even be potential owners but at the end of the day they're hard headed businessmen.

I think the whole Lego stadium business just grew arms and legs. Spango Valley has obvious investment potential which is why they bought it.

Exactly. Sometimes I feel Inverclyde has just been left to rot since the sugar and ships went. Every now and again there's been a 'whoopy doo' about new jobs in McDonalds or KFC or similar. That says everything you need to know! thumbs down

Silicon valley was never going to replace seven sugar refineries and the extensive shipbuilding industries of Inverclyde, and now it's gone too. The area DESPERATELY needs regeneration.

It's not just the area that needs regeneration, the people of Inverclyde need to have a good look at themselves too. Living in a backwater must be hard but you've got to try and make a good fist of things. They don't.

A backwater perhaps in commercial terms but still a beautiful part of the world to live in

I'm not sure I'd like to live in Spango Valley, it'll be like living at the bottom of a gorge.

Excellent place for a massive retail park, something that Greenock has badly needed for twenty years.

Worked down Spango Valley back in the 80's. It's a real shame it's a wasteland again but looking forward to seeing it thrive again.
